The ASPSU serves as your elected student government, providing services that range from management of student fees, advocacy to administrators on university policies, and lobbying elected officials in Salem and Washington, DC. ASPSU is currently looking for interns, who receive course credit as well as valuable experience. If you’re interested, contact Tasha Triplett in room 117 of Smith Hall. If the ASPSU doesn’t appeal to you, try the QRC, located in Smith 401. The QRC's goals are to provide and maintain safe spaces for members of the GLBTG community on campus and in Portland at large. QRC also strives to educate PSU about gender and sexual diversity, often through forums, campus activities, and “alternative cultural and social events.” These are just two examples of the plethora of student groups in need of volunteers and active members. Broaden your world view, meet new people, and engage in the campus community. You may even scare some conservative freaks in the process! If you’re only here to get a degree, you may as well take online courses and save yourself the commute. An education involves more than listening to lectures and reading; it also means educating yourself about real life. -g Contact Information Links For the Website: Tasha Triplett, ASPSU Outreach and Funding Coordinator :Tasha.
