They Said: They would create a SALP advisory board which would oversee SALP operations, i.e., spending and making communication between student groups and SALP more functional. They Have: SALP is presenting its revised budget with taskforce recommendations on June 11th to the SFC. The SFC Chair Tanja Miljevic and President Fisher have agreed to continue working with SALP to implement the recommendations through the summer. They Said: They would create a disabilities studies minor program. They Have: The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will be housing the disabilities studies minor program. They Said: They would focus on new housing for low-income students. They Have: A proposal has been made that a certain percentage of the next building project on campus will be reserved for student housing. Further research will be done to determine what percentage is appropriate. They Said: They would increase the responsibility of senators and give them a $200-a-month stipend for nine hours of work per week. They Have: The Senate has transferred power to the newly elected Senators, who will be the first incoming Senate to operate under new rules that keep the Senate separate from the ASPSU executive branch. |
